Today is the 206th birthday of Blessed Frederick Ozanam, Principle Founder of the Society of St Vincent de Paul. The day marks the 186th Anniversary of our organisation, which now has over 950 000 members in 155 countries around the globe.
What an amazing legacy, which began one night in Paris so many years ago, when Frederick and his friend responded to the challenge, “show us some of your own good works” by taking some of their own firewood to an old man living in an attic a few doors away.
