In the wake of the devastating floods in Ladysmith last month, SSVP Conferences sprang into action to provide emergency relief.
Clothing, bedding, blankets and 80 food hampers collected by the Central Durban Conference were sent up to the Ladysmith in record time, for distribution to flood victims. Special thanks to Rob from Olph for delivering the goods.
Many of these people lost everything when waist high water flowed through their homes. The fast flowing water carried away furniture and household items and ruined clothing and bedding.
Responding to people in need is a core priority of our organisation. We are extremely grateful for everyone who contributed to this urgent need. We also thank those who make monetary donations, which can be put to work quickly whenever and wherever the need is greatest.
