Over the weekend of 5 & 6 April, SSVP council leaders from around South Africa gathered at the Koinonia Retreat Centre in Johannesburg for the National Council Meeting.
The proceedings began with a spiritual reflection led by Reverend Deacon, Peter Landsberg, followed by the re-election of Peter Keshwar as National President. Reports were presented by the Vice-Presidents of East and West, and the officers in charge of the various portfolios. The Financial Report was presented by Alex Solik and Saturday Mass led by Fr Anthony Egan.
On Sunday, the various councils presented their reports and various issues were discussed. It was a fruitful and enjoyable event, with attendees returning home inspired and energized.
