St Jude’s Conference in the West Coast region has big goals for this year, and after just a few months, they are already well on the way to fulfilling them.
During 2024, the conference plans to reach 16 851 people in need, and provide over R300 000 worth of poverty relief in the form of meals and clothing, and assistance to people living with disabilities, and children with intellectual and physically disabilities who have found a safe haven at Huis Eiland.
Through their Vredenburg feeding scheme and monthly food parcel distribution, the conference provides 52 food parcels per month – comprising of bread and 2 other food items. A further 180 beneficiaries have received clothing and blankets. 19 disabled beneficiaries receive food, clothing, toiletries and birthday gifts and treats.
We salute this hardworking conference and applaud the difference they are making in the lives of so many poor people in the area.
