International Youth Day celebrations

St Vincent de Paul youth day is celebrated internationally on 29 June, which is the feast day of St Peter, patron saint of our youth. Sharing this feast day is St Paul because legend has it that they were martyred on the same day, three years apart.

Youth at the St Peter and St Paul Conference celebrated the day by preparing mountains of nourishing food for their less fortunate neighbours who go hungry.

For more than 190 years, the Society of St Vincent de Paul has transformed so many lives for the better. In his message to the young members of the society, International President, Juan Manuel B. Gómez, said, “Taking up the loving baton of our predecessors, as you do, is a privilege. We are a big family, we are indeed a Conference that extends across the world.”

“May St Peter inspire you to achieve, like him, a generous heart, a humble spirit and, above all, bringing the love of God to our neighbours.”
